A slateis a cast list for a film, bound to a mode — Timeless (any era) or Current (working actors today). You pick the roles, the actors, the director, and you make a case. Other casters can vote it up (Bravo) or down (Boo) on the slate as a whole or on individual picks. Slates feed every other surface on the site: tournament brackets, Discover sorting, trending, your profile.
People who’ve seen too many films to keep their opinions about casting to themselves. People who love Letterboxd but want a different verb — cast, not just watch. People who think the right Mads Mikkelsen role is still waiting to be written.
